ChooseOurDate LLC Privacy Notice

At ChooseOurDate LLC ("we," or "us"), we value the privacy of individuals who use our websites and related services (collectively, our "Services"). This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, and share the personal information of users of our Services ("users," "you," or "your"). By using our Services, you agree to the collection, use, disclosure, and processing of your information as described by this Privacy Notice.

Personal information is information that identifies or could be used to identify a specific person. Personal information does not include deidentified information (anonymized or pseudonymized) or aggregated information derived from personal information.

We may collect a variety of personal information and other information about you or your devices from various sources, as described below.

Our Privacy Commitments

We built ChooseOurDate around a simple principle: your plans are yours.

  • No ads in the product. We do not show you advertisements inside the app or on the website.
  • No ad pixels or behavioral tracking for advertising. We do not install Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Microsoft Clarity for advertising, TikTok Pixel, or any other third-party advertising pixel on our site.
  • We never sell or share your personal data for advertising. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their advertising or marketing purposes.
  • Analytics only with your consent. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage. It loads only after you explicitly accept cookies, and only on public marketing pages — never inside the app, dashboard, or any authenticated route. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Your Privacy Choices below).

AI Processing

ChooseOurDate uses Anthropic's Claude API to generate date plans and power the Kai AI concierge.

  • What we send: your date preferences, vibe, location (city/neighborhood), and the contents of your conversation with Kai. We do not send your name, email address, or phone number in AI prompts where the plan works without them.
  • How Anthropic uses it: Anthropic does not train its models on API inputs or outputs by default. Your prompts are not used to improve Anthropic's models. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details.
  • Retention: AI conversation history is stored in your account and deleted when you delete your account.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage of our public marketing pages. Google Analytics loads only after you consent and only on public routes. For more information, see Google's Privacy & Terms. You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We do not use Meta, LinkedIn, Microsoft, or any other advertising network's tracking pixels or SDKs.

As Required by Law and Similar Disclosures

We may transfer your information to service providers, advisors, potential transactional partners, or other third parties in connection with the consideration, negotiation, or completion of a corporate transaction in which we are acquired by or merged with another company or in which we sell, liquidate, or transfer all or a portion of our assets. The use of your information following any of these events will be governed by the same general provisions of this Privacy Notice.

Consent

We may also disclose your information with your permission.

Our Communications

From time to time, you may receive marketing or other informational email messages from us. You can unsubscribe from our promotional and informational emails via the link provided in the emails. Please be aware that this Privacy Notice does not apply to your activities on these third-party services or any information you disclose to these third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any information to them.

We make reasonable efforts to protect your information by using administrative, technological, and physical safeguards designed to improve the security of the information we maintain and protect it from accidental loss, unauthorized access or use, or any other inappropriate or unlawful processing. International Visitors

Our Services are hosted in the United States and intended for use by individuals located within the United States. Changes to this Privacy Notice

We encourage you to read this Privacy Notice periodically to stay up to date about our privacy practices.

What We Keep After You Delete Your Account

When you delete your account, we remove your personal data as described above. A small set of records is retained for legal and operational reasons:

  • Stripe payment records. Stripe retains transaction and invoice records as required for tax and accounting compliance. We do not control this retention.
  • Anonymized rewards program records. If you participated in the Houston Experience Rewards program, we keep anonymized records of your application status and any payment amounts for tax and campaign-integrity purposes. Your name, email, phone number, and social handles are removed.
  • Security and audit logs. System-level audit logs (for example, records of admin actions) may be retained for up to 12 months for fraud prevention and legal compliance. These logs do not contain your date plans, AI conversations, or profile content.
